Sadie and Josh

Congratulations Sadie and Josh! I think I would have to say that this is one of the most innovative weddings I've had the honor to photograph. You would NEVER know that these guys were on a budget. Beautiful flowers, all the picnic tables that Sadie painted (which Sadie is selling and I am purchasing one:)), the rings... I could go on and on but the one thing that tied it all together was Sadies style. Simple, pretty, fun and elegant. You guys make a fantastic couple and your families were so cool and funny and sweet...

Due to the fact that my upgrade to photoshop is still in Shanghai, (I know I could have easily gone to Circuit City but as you get older 10 dollars DOES matter!), I will be posting more on the blog later but wanted to put a couple out there just for flavor;).

Lauren and Jamie, part 1

You may have noticed that I haven't' blogged in a while. Its not that I haven't been busy its that I have decided to upgrade my photoshop, finally, and wanted to edit on my new upgrade! So, after months and months of research, and what one should I upgrade to and from where and should I.... Well, yeh, I ordered it and then realized from all of my options, like a trillion, that I have read and reread and spoke on the phone to people about, joined support groups over, I ordered the one (probably the only one) being sent from China from a Chinese shipping company. So, my plan to be using my newest version, which will change my life I'm sure, by the past Monday, is not gonna happen. I'm hoping to get it my Halloween. Just kidding (I hope).

So, this past weekend, I photographed (along with my second shooter, Ingrid!), an amazing wedding.
I knew I was going to love these guys as soon as they entered my home to talk about the details of their wedding.
How to describe Lauren and Jamie... Classic style with a flair, quiet, sophisticated , and most importantly, romantically in love.
Their wedding was so intimate and sweet and touching that during the ceremony I literally had to hold back my tears and remind myself that I was working! I kept catching myself joining in with the small intimate crowd and embracing their sentiments like I was part of the family! Camera down to my side and everything!
Ok, before I ramble on and on, (its the heat, i'm sure), here is one photo of Lauren and Jamie.
Due to what I mentioned above, the real Lauren and Jamie blog will be up very soon (I'm calling china tonight to get an update:), I seriously am).

Polaroids

I just figured out how to create the Polaroid look and I just love it. It reminds me of childhood family vacations on the Cape or just hanging out at the kitchen table and my mother just deciding to pull the Polaroid camera out and take a couple. Life is just so sweet when you really think about it.

Film and I just got back together!

I've decided to add film back into my camera bag. As much as I love digital, and I do love LOVe lOve digital, I feel like I'm missing something. There is something so organic and sexy(? maybe?) about film and the way a photographer shoots film. There is a difference. Maybe not so much in the quality of the photo but I think it is the thought that goes into the photo with film. Its got be planned and thought out even if its just a few seconds.... So, for weddings starting in 2010 I will shoot the majority of the wedding in digital and them some film!

These are undies, by the way. Aren't they adorable??

Once again, the Strongs!

Boy, talk about being in the weeds! You'd think I was running this major company or had 5 kids with a traveling husband! Nope, just a step behind. I've been dying to get my hands on Amy's digital negs and put them out there, but, honestly, it just took longer than I wanted it to. So here they are. They are all so sweet and good looking! I always try several different ways to process them, thats really why it takes me so long most of the time, so here are different angles to choose from. Crazy huh? I know, I do know.
