My new weddings albums are in!!

My albums have finally arrived from Finao. I have searched high and low for albums that fit my style and my brides style. There are a gazillion wedding album companies out there and most of them are gorgeous but these books I keep coming back to.
I ordered Electric Blue, matted, 9x9 for the bride and grooms album and 5x5 black suede book for the parents albums. I must say the Electric Blue was a little more electricky than I thought it would be and my first reaction was, uh ...yikes... But now I love the vibrancy of it and I'm so glad I didn't go with the more muted one. Don't worry, there are so many options to choose from vibrant, linen, leather, snake skin looking (which I totally want!!)! Ok, sounds crazy and hey, I'm a pretty classic type girl, (seriously, my favorite color is tan!), but these are quality, classic and fun. Your gonna love them!
My photos do no justice to these books at all. In fact, I will probably redo them with better light and more thought soon! They were taken on my dining room table, of course, but I just wanted to get them out there as soon as I could. I absolutely love them!

A Mid-Winters Night Soiree- Absolutely Fabulous!

What an amazing party I attended last night! Right down the street, I might add. I actually walked down the street camera in hand in a little mini snowstorm. It was beautiful.
It was thrown by Julie and Bud as a fundraiser to support the Freeport Shakespeare Festival. Well, me being a photographer and living down the street from Julie, she asked me to photograph the party and blog it (or rather, I asked her if I could photograph it and blog it, or whatever), so I did.
It couldn't have been more perfect, the delicious hors d'oeuvres from Azure (so dang delicious), the smooth vodka Tempest drinks from Cold River Vodka were too good- too too too good. Really. The party was all put together by Jenifer and I wish to god I could remember her last name. But really really nice job! But most importantly Bud and Julie and all of the actors involved. Bud would blow the horn, literally he had a real horn in his hand and blew on it, very loudly :), and that would indicate that there was another performance to start in one of the many beautiful rooms in Julie and Buds house. So everyone would flow into a room and be entertained. I've never seen such a thing. What a fabulous idea. I bet they use to do this type of thing years ago. I might just look that up later.
So, yet again I am inspired here in Freeport Maine. So much to offer around every corner. I was amazed to watch people with such a passion about what they do. Everyone was laughing and talking and oohing and awing... The party was a huge success and I'm so so glad that I attended. Her are some photos of the night.

You know when your really behind and have like a million things to do and so you just do the total opposite? Thats me all the time. So I know I have several sessions to edit, blog, send to the lab etc etc, so its just this time when I decide to, you know, blog my family, just because they're funny and cute. I think its like comfort food, or I'm going on a diet food, time for a diet - tomorrow- ok, until then eat mayonnaise on bread and pick all the chunks of chocolate out of the Moose Tracks ice cream ( i would never do that but I'm sure my sisters do ;) Anyway...

Rory and Jason's Engagement at the Boston Hilton Airport

I've been dying to blog these two! I was waiting for my "pro blog" to be finished, (waiting for myself to finish it, that is), and can wait no longer! Hmmmm, how to describe Rory and Jason...young, fun, smart couple who have no idea how hip they are. You know what I mean? There are some people out there who try and try...but these guys, they are just cool because they are. Loved them and loved photographing them. Quiet and sweet and cool and I can not wait to photograph their wedding. I am going to do another post of these 2 when I'm finished my pro blog. These images look much much better larger!

Wedding Prices

Hello everyone! I wanted to give everyone a heads up and let you know that my prices are changing. If we've spoken or have an appointment to meet don't worry, you are safe!

But starting February 1st, 2010, unless noted above, the new prices take affect. Keep in mind that my prices are still very reasonable!!

I still have a few openings for 2010 and have been taking calls for 2011! I'm so excited my business is growing and really want to thank everyone I worked with in 2009 for your confidence and allowing to be part of your really really special day!
