A beautiful little flower

A beautiful flower plucked fresh from my home grown, organic garden. (just kidding- its a weed, from my aunts, photoshopped, but its so pretty...).

Goodbye to our beloved babysitter,Lara :[

Well, it happened.. she left us. Goodbye Lara, you will be sorely missed my friend.
Lara was our babysitter for a year and a half, (we've never gone past 3 months before). I can't say enough about her, through thick and thin, tummy aches (mostly Laras ;)) and the switching of careers she hung on and and smiled through it all. Whoever out there gets her next you are the luckiest family in the world!

I can not wait to photograph Sadie and Josh in their upcoming wedding in August! What a fabulous location for a fabulous couple. The land is just so tranquil and beautiful. These guys really have a great thing going.

Gardening is "out" this year.

So, I have officially declared that gardening is "out" this year. Meaning uncool, unhip and plain ole waste of time. This is due to the fact that I am too busy, too budget crunching and too lazy to start a respectable garden of my own this season. So, I have decided to photograph what we have instead... But trust me, when I'm driving by your beautiful gardens or picking my sisters and neighbors delicious veggies (when their on vaca of course) I will be jealous, but ok with it.

Perfect light

Here is a photo around 6:30, maybe even be 7:00 pm, no artificial light, totally clean without being messed with by photoshop. Spread the word, the light is here for the taking. Spring rain brings brilliant colors and gorgeous light... I know, yadda yadda yadda, but its so true.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Ok, so now I'm crossing the line about personal blogging... Not that all you viewers (my sister, me, my husband, me again), want to see the happenings at our dining room table, but I just have to show you the beautiful light that we experience every morning at our house. Tony and I have daily conversations about buying land, and building the house of our dreams (you know, after the recession when the land is double the price again...)- But I have to say, I don't think I could ever have dreamed up such a lovely dining room with just the most magical light. In a couple of days the purple from the lilac trees will give the entire front of the house a purple glow. Its incredible!
Don't worry, I'll be sure to post it!

Quote of the day- "How can we ignore mommy if you keep saying "ignore mommy".Gardy, in an annoyed voice says while I'm circling them trying to photograph them in their natural state. ;) Love him.

Tuesday Special

I am proud to announce my first newborn session with Baby Alyssa! She is just absolutely beautiful and perfect! Her mom was my first maternity shoot and Alyssa is my first newborn. Thanks for the confidence guys! We've made a pact that every Tuesday we would do a 15 to 20 minute shoot of Alyssa for 2 reasons- One, for practice for me and photos for Amanda and two, just because I loved doing it. It was really fun and I can't wait to see and photograph the weekly changes. Here's a few from this Tuesday...

Way Too Cool for School!

so I've been on the fence as to whether or not I would blog about my family. Its always been very tempting to me but I wanted to keep it somewhat professional. Well, I've changed my mind... since I'm going to be practicing a little more extreme photoshop I thought I better do it on my own children and not my clients! Here are a couple of photos of Gardy.
I know I always use this word and it dates me back to the days of Lavern and Shirley and Happy Days (all my playgroup mommies are thinking, "who the heck is Lavern and Shirley"), but Gardy looks like such a hunk here!

Funky With Photoshop

I've been fiddling with photoshop lately

and thought I'd post some middle of the road shots.

In the photography world photoshop "actions" are all the rave, and I must say I rather enjoy them. I'll post some funkier ones later!

Beach maternity photos!

I photographed Jen and her son last Sunday morning at the beach. It was my first maternity shoot that wasn't in a studio setting, (which is my dining room!;). It was great- Jen is that open minded, free spirited, relaxed kind of women we all wish we could be more of. She is also associated with Birthroots but couldn't attend the fundraiser. So glad we could finally hook up afters weeks of collaborating our schedules.

Two Interesting Young Men

Here are a couple of photos of my good friend Ania and Gary's guys. Not only are they obviously handsome, they are interesting and thoughtful and really enjoy being brothers.
