New Years Resolution

Happy New Year Everyone! We will be celebrating at our in laws and spending the night so I thought I'd blog it up now.
Well, heres the truth, Of course I want my New Years Resolution to be Peace on Earth (its true, I really do), but... since thats not totally up to me I'd like my resolution to be thus:
Eat less (ha ha ha ha ect)
Exercise more (seek above)
Buy some clothes NOT from Target (hint Tony, boots at Garnet Hill for my bday). (another test to see if he is reading). The page is marked with my size and color.
Make my son go into the YMCA prime time so I can exercise.
Put a little bit (just a tad) of makeup on before I drop my kids off at school, (and comb my hair).
Put in a reliable calender my sons weekly events, like half days, so to not totally rely on my friends Christine and Jeanne. (although I totally appreciate you both).
Answer the phone more
Drink less wine (please)
Clean my office more (don't forget, relocating April 1st, Main St Freeport!! YIPPEEE)
Put my clothes away after folding etc, etc, etc...
Bottom line, I need to be more organized.
Oh, and turning this blog back into a Photography Business Blog instead of
"The Daily Nonsense of Tiffany Converse"
Stay Safe Everyone and Happy New Year!

A Few of My Favorite Things

I've been reading some holiday blogs and loved reading peoples "Favorite Things" list. Heres mine:
Here are a few of my favorite things:

i love my 8 year olds school, the light in my dining room and hanging there with
my guys, waking up to freshly fallen snow, red wine and chocolate (or red wine
and whatever), watching my son playing piano with his tongue hanging out
concentrating, my husbands puffy lips, my 3 year olds pudgy fingers, my 8 year
old snorting from laughing so hard, my house heating system, just having my
housed cleaned by Karen, margaritas (with salt), going out to dinner with my husband, the

first cup of coffee in the
morning before anyone gets up, my kids crawling in bed with us in the middle of
the night, my beautiful clients, living in Maine, being able to walk for a slice of
pizza, living so close to my sister and her family, trench coats, black turtlenecks,
my silver wonder woman bracelet from Tiffanys, Paris, Paris, Paris, rolling
fields, homemade ornaments, chai tea lattes, somebody drawing pictures on my
back, lobster!

My sisters Floridian Babes

My sister just recently married the most fabulous man, John. Loved him from the minute I met him at ER Bradleys and totally knew he was a good egg. So, while we were down there enjoying their tropical wedding I photographed my niece and nephew, Josie and Sam. Check them out! They are gorgeous to the bone!
They have always had an awesome family but now its even more awesome!

Sandra and Darren in Combo with being Thankful!

On this Thanksgiving Day I am thankful for the small things that really mean a lot. I photographed a wedding on Monday at the Harraseeket Inn (thank you Melissa who works there for the referral;). The wedding consisted of me the photographer, Cheryl the jp and Sandra and Darren, Bride and Groom. Simple, sweet, intimate and real. I mean really real. This wedding was between 2 people that for the sake of nobody else except for themselves exchanged these beautiful words to each other. Honestly, it was beautiful and very touching.

So, to keep to the simple theme today, I am thankful for my simple house (don't get me wrong, I do still want a new house but content for the moment), my simple vanilla cake recipe that I can whip together in a matter of minutes (maybe not such a good thing while on a diet (for the past 3 years)but...), my small, simple extremely messy office (stay tuned, I'm relocating this spring to Main St Freeport), my simple husband (totally kidding!!! this is a test to see if he really checks my blog;)), my small beautiful unsimple adorable boys, and my beautiful business that allows me to go to simple lunches that I love so much.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Happy 40th Dan Walker!

Here is one of many gorgeous shots I have of the Walkers. I have tons of them looking into the camera but this photo fits them best - doting on their delicious adorable guys. Happy Birthday Dan!

Just had to blog at least one!

First I must say, please please please don't be offended that I haven't blogged your session. I haven't blogged anyones session this season. Trying to reconnect with the family after a very busy wedding season. As soon as they've had enough of me I will retire to the back room again and post many photos I owe. I do love doing that.
Ok, so with that said, I am going to post one from my shoot this morning. It may have been pouring rain out but these little princesses didn't care. All smiles. So precious I had to show just one. Plus, this is the first time I photographed twins!!
Check out "Miss Thing" one and "Miss Thing" two!

Belinda and Scott, My first engagement session for my weddings in 2010.
It was a pleasure shooting these guys. They were easy, fun, beautiful and happy.
I don't know how many times I asked Scott to kiss Belinda but every single time he did it with heart... every single time... Lucky in love, definitely...<

Meghan and Jon, your up!

Meghan and Jons wedding has started the editing process! I can't wait to sink my teeth into these. There are so many incredable images between me, Chris and Ingrid and I'm probably going to get a little obsessive in the photoshop area. This is where I work on one image for say 3 hours or so and walk away to go the bathroom, come back and hate it and start all over again. Here we go!

Happy 40th to my wonderful husband. Post is strange but important!

This is kind of a strange blog but I just thought it was meant to be said. Through the years of my marriage, 11 (i think), I've noticed myself getting more and more controlling and trying to defend my actions by insinuating that I'm not getting enough attention and my husbands wasn't being sensitive enough, and why don't I get flowers anymore, why don't we hold hands anymore. So, as the kids were laying with Tony on the rug in the family room this evening watching this little movie called "Yo, Yes" (so adorable), I walked by, looked at him with the kids all cuddled up and thought how come we don't share like this anymore?? So I put it to the test and laid down on the rug next to Tony and he immediately opened his arms and pulled me in with such a huge smile and warmth and I realized that the only reason this wasn't happening was ME. I am going to change that starting right now. Ain't no denying, I have a good man.
Amen

Lindsay and Rick

Congratulations Lindsey and Rick! Talk about laid back. You guys are so mellow and care free.
What a great wedding, not a worry in the world. Just a bunch of great family and friends, a beautiful young bride, a handsome funny groom and down to earth love and fun. Really.

This is my last wedding of the season for me. Time to hunker down and edit and blog. I'm really excited about my down time and some time to reflect over the past season. I've learned a ton and changed in so many ways due to all of my clients and all of their visions combined with mine. Thank You.
Heres to many more!

Sadie and Josh

Congratulations Sadie and Josh! I think I would have to say that this is one of the most innovative weddings I've had the honor to photograph. You would NEVER know that these guys were on a budget. Beautiful flowers, all the picnic tables that Sadie painted (which Sadie is selling and I am purchasing one:)), the rings... I could go on and on but the one thing that tied it all together was Sadies style. Simple, pretty, fun and elegant. You guys make a fantastic couple and your families were so cool and funny and sweet...

Due to the fact that my upgrade to photoshop is still in Shanghai, (I know I could have easily gone to Circuit City but as you get older 10 dollars DOES matter!), I will be posting more on the blog later but wanted to put a couple out there just for flavor;).

Lauren and Jamie, part 1

You may have noticed that I haven't' blogged in a while. Its not that I haven't been busy its that I have decided to upgrade my photoshop, finally, and wanted to edit on my new upgrade! So, after months and months of research, and what one should I upgrade to and from where and should I.... Well, yeh, I ordered it and then realized from all of my options, like a trillion, that I have read and reread and spoke on the phone to people about, joined support groups over, I ordered the one (probably the only one) being sent from China from a Chinese shipping company. So, my plan to be using my newest version, which will change my life I'm sure, by the past Monday, is not gonna happen. I'm hoping to get it my Halloween. Just kidding (I hope).

So, this past weekend, I photographed (along with my second shooter, Ingrid!), an amazing wedding.
I knew I was going to love these guys as soon as they entered my home to talk about the details of their wedding.
How to describe Lauren and Jamie... Classic style with a flair, quiet, sophisticated , and most importantly, romantically in love.
Their wedding was so intimate and sweet and touching that during the ceremony I literally had to hold back my tears and remind myself that I was working! I kept catching myself joining in with the small intimate crowd and embracing their sentiments like I was part of the family! Camera down to my side and everything!
Ok, before I ramble on and on, (its the heat, i'm sure), here is one photo of Lauren and Jamie.
Due to what I mentioned above, the real Lauren and Jamie blog will be up very soon (I'm calling china tonight to get an update:), I seriously am).

Polaroids

I just figured out how to create the Polaroid look and I just love it. It reminds me of childhood family vacations on the Cape or just hanging out at the kitchen table and my mother just deciding to pull the Polaroid camera out and take a couple. Life is just so sweet when you really think about it.
